Your reviews are part of your acquisition system.
Reviews do not sit after marketing. For many patients, they are part of the decision itself.
Patients use reviews to reduce uncertainty
A systematic review of patient online reviews concluded that they play an increasingly important role in patients’ choice of healthcare providers.
Negative reviews are not only a reputation problem
A 2024 study found that negative review characteristics and physician responses influence consumer choice, and that a physician response can reduce the effect of negative reviews.
Build the request into operations
The practical opportunity is a low-friction, policy-compliant post-visit flow: ask for feedback at an appropriate moment, make the review request simple, monitor responses and bring authorised patient proof back into the website. Do not gate reviews or selectively route only happy patients to public platforms.
